Calibra F1
[description action="start"]
Mild, yellow storage onions that will reach 7-5-10cm (3-4") in diameter by the end of the season. Calibra is a sweet Spanish type with flavour that will sweeten in storage. It has firm, round bulbs have a slight shoulder, with pale copper skins. A bit smaller than some Spanish onions, but distinctly sweet, and perfect for caramelizing or French onion soup. Once harvested, allow the whole plant to dry down until there is no more moisture in the neck and stem. Then trim the roots and cut the neck about 2cm (1") up the stem. Store in a cool, dark place. A good choice for home gardeners or market growers.
