This selection of the plant Polianthes tuberosa is native to Mexico. Plant the bulbs in early spring and enjoy highly fragrant multiple blooms throughout the summer. Its scent grows particularly strong in the evening. The flowers are long-lasting in scented bouquets, and grow to 100cm (40") tall. It is the scent perhaps that makes them unattractive to deer. Polianthes means many flowers, and this cultivar does not disappoint. Lift the bulbs in the fall for over winter storage somewhere cool and dry.
